Case Study (In Progress):
Building Two Strategic Brands for a Micro-Market Launch

The Challenge
Mystique was engaged to build two distinct but strategically aligned brands for a new player in the micro-market space:
- A B2B service brand for a flexible workplace refreshment solution—installable in office buildings, factories, hospitals, and schools.
- A B2C consumables brand for fresh, grab-and-go food and beverage products, designed to live within those markets and eventually expand into broader distribution.
With timelines tight and the stakes high, the client needed a full-scale brand strategy partner to develop everything from positioning and naming to packaging, website, and launch materials.
Our Role
Mystique was brought in to lead both brand builds—from early strategy through to creative development, production planning, and pre-launch activation.
✔ Brand strategy and messaging
✔ Naming and tagline development
✔ Visual identity systems
✔ Website design and development
✔ Packaging and in-market signage
✔ Environmental & POP design direction
✔ Photography and video content
✔ Lead generation and SEO strategy
All work was managed by our in-house team, with direct principal-level oversight across all phases.
What We Delivered
Brand Strategy
We started by refining customer archetypes—HR professionals, facility managers, and business owners—to ensure the brand speaks directly to workplace decision-makers. Messaging was tailored to highlight business value: employee satisfaction, operational ease, and elevated food experiences.
Deliverables:
- Brand architecture and positioning
- Refined decision-maker personas
- Messaging framework for each brand
- Competitive landscape audit

Name Development & Taglines
The existing name (“VeriDeli”) was identified as a limiting factor. We developed fresh, ownable names and taglines for both the micro-market and product brands—built to differentiate and scale.
Deliverables:
- 10–12 naming options per brand
- Taglines to support each brand’s voice and promise
- Trademark prescreening
- Creative mockups to visualize context (e.g., signage, packaging, digital)
- Optional validation testing (internal/external audiences)

Corporate Identity Design
Each brand required a visual identity that could adapt across environments—from kiosk signage and product labels to business cards, websites, and social media.
Deliverables:
- Logo systems with responsive formats
- Brand colour palettes, type systems, and visual language
- Real-world application previews (cards, uniforms, digital touchpoints)
- Full brand guideline documentation

Website Design & Development
Website design concepts have been approved for both Nano Market and City Block, with distinct goals tailored to each brand. Nano Market focuses on communicating value to decision-makers and driving demo bookings, while City Block leans into storytelling, product appeal, and brand atmosphere.
Final build is pending completion of copy, visuals, and a few key structural decisions.
Features (planned):
10 custom-designed pages per site
• On-brand copywriting and foundational SEO
• Demo calendar integration (Nano Market)
• CTA frameworks tailored to decision-maker and consumer journeys
• Flexible modules for future campaign and product updates
• Optional email automation workflows
Packaging Design
To stay nimble during launch, we proposed high-quality branded labels as a short-term solution—applied to stock packaging to maintain brand presence without committing to large-volume print runs. This approach allows flexibility across SKUs and can easily scale once demand supports bulk packaging pricing.
Deliverables:
- Label design system for multiple product categories (sandwiches, soups, snacks, beverages)
- SKU-specific templates with adaptable layouts
- Brand hierarchy and visual consistency across formats
- Coordination with production and packaging partners

Environmental & POP Design
Design and layout concepts for Nano Market kiosks have been developed and approved. Most installations will operate within a ~15′ footprint—demanding smart, space-conscious design that balances brand impact with real-world function. Talks are currently underway with millwork partners to bring the design to life.
Deliverables:
- Approved environmental layout and branding concepts
- POP elements, including cooler clings, shelf talkers, and signage
- Recommendations on materials, finishes, and colour palette to reinforce brand tone
- Visual guides and reference materials to support millworker execution

7. Photography & Video Content
We’re producing a foundational library of brand-aligned imagery and video content for the website, social, and future marketing use—focusing on craveability, approachability, and visual consistency.
Deliverables (in progress):
- On-site art direction and shoot planning
- Lifestyle and in-market photography
- Hero shots for web and signage
- 10–30 second video cutdowns for digital use
- Planning for future product catalogue (pending final SKU list)
8. Lead Generation & SEO Foundation
Still in the planning stages, we’re developing a B2B-focused lead-generation strategy to support post-launch growth. The focus is on targeting facility managers, HR teams, and business owners through high-intent channels.
Planned Deliverables:
- LinkedIn and Google Ads campaign strategy
- Messaging and targeting framework
- Ad creative development
- SEO keyword analysis and on-page content strategy
- Long-term content planning roadmap
Status
Both brands are currently under wraps, but the foundation is in place: strategy, naming, packaging, website, and content are either complete or underway. Launch assets are being finalized, and the brand is poised to enter the market with confidence, clarity, and built-in momentum.
